The source adds, "She hasn't paid him in two years. He had to call in lawyers." Blair is now working with Carey's ex-husband, music mogul Tommy Mottola at his Casablanca Records label.

Aaliyah RIP
Accidents planes took many of the best music names including Buddy Holly, Richie Valens, John Denver, and Rick Nelson. More recently, on August 25, 2001, said the life of the reigning queen of R & B music, Aaliyah. Aaliyah was so full of talent and life, and the young age of 22 years was taken from us. But we should not mourn his death, we should celebrate his life.
Aaliyah Dana Haughton was born on January 16, 1979 in Brooklyn New York, for his proud parents Diane and Michael Haughton. His parents were names that have meaning, so that came through the Arabic name Aaliyah. Since most tender age Aaliyah has shown a great talent and their interest in music. He also had another great talent and acting.
In 1984, Aaliyah and her family moved to Detroit, Michigan. Aaliyah's parents enrolled her in a Catholic school, which has had a great drama program. Aaliyah won roles in such plays as "Annie" and "42nd Street". He knew that is what he wanted to do for the rest of his life.
Although Aaliyah loved acting, has never given his love for singing. When Aalyiah was 10 years old, preferred listening to his show, "Star Search". Sure enough she won a place on the popular show and sang the song "My Funny Valentine." E 'was the favorite song of the mother. Aaliyah unfortunately lost, but never gave up.
For a while ', Aaliyah worked for his musical ability and 1993, has caught the attention of the famous singer R. Kelly, and immediately wanted to make her a star. In 1994 began work on Aaliyah's first album titled "Age Is not Nothing But a Number." Aaliyah was only 15 years. She became a huge hit with the R & B fan, and his first album went Platinum. Then took his stardom when an unexpected rumors have speculated that Aaliyah was married to R. Kelly, who was 27 years, and was only 15 years. But both denied.
In 1996 Aaliyah released his second album "One In A Million", which two million copies sold. For this album, Aaliyah worked with Timbaland and Missy Elliot. Although Aaliyah was becoming a big star, he still wanted to finish school, and finished school with a 4.0 grade point average. She did not want fame and fortune to sink into his head and continued to be the same wonderful person who had always been.
In 1998 he made a song for the "Dr. Dolittle" soundtrack, "Are You That Somebody", which won her first Grammy nomination Aaliyah. In the spring of 1999, Aaliyah was in his first film, "Romeo Must Die". He also sang the song "Retry" for the soundtrack of the film. Both film and the soundtrack has become very successful. Then shortly after Aaliyah fell in love Rockefellar Records co-founder Damon Dash.
At the 2000 MTV Music Awards Aaliyah won an award for Best Female Artist. In the fall of 2000 he started working on his next film "Queen of the Damned" and his third album. His third self-titled album "Aaliyah" was released during the summer of 2001. He started working on music videos for the songs "More Than A Woman" and "We need a resolution". Critics praised the new album and was said to be one of the best R & B album of 2001.
Aaliyah's song "Rock the Boat" had begun to receive popular radio. Then, in August 2001, Aaliyah went to the Bahamas to shoot the video to be directed by Hype Williams. Unfortunately, this would be the last Aaliyah video and those days would have been the last of Aaliyah's life. They finished shooting the video of a day in advance, so Aaliyah was eager to get home immediately to see Damon and his family.
On the evening of 25 August 2001, Aaliyah and seven of his friends got on a plane and moments after takeoff the plane crashed in the swamp 200 metres away from the runway. Aaliyah died instantly.
At a church in Manhattan on Aug. 31, 2001 Aaliyah's funeral took place as his family, friends and fans paid their final respect to the fallen star. The funeral was fit for a princess, with horses and a carriage carrying Aaliyah's casket. At the end of the funeral Aaliyah's mother 22 years out of white doves into the sky, one for each year of Aaliyah's life.
Aaliyah left behind a great legacy and have touched the lives of many, including my own. It is so sad to think of what could have been much more, and how it could have lived. Now watching "Rock the Boat" video is magical for me, knowing that just did know that those were his last days. Aaliyah was certainly very beautiful and talented individual. His music and his spirit will live for eternity. His life may have been cut short, but he lived a full and now lives with the angels in heaven.
